What resources do you value?

What are people’s favorite, most useful, most thought-inspiring resources?

I’m subscribed to many things, and try to keep reading books of significance (as well as distraction), but I also find that some (like Joan’s) bubble to the top regularly.

I’d love to hear what others find useful and that I might find worth adding to my always changing list (which is here, by the way: Sources - 7 Takeaways)

For me my background is mainly technology and business so I like Westenberg, Hacker News, TechCrunch, Big Think, and especially X (I follow a lot of founders and tech stuff there).

I like your reading list by the way it’s pretty diverse! I’ll probably be a bookmark shun of them as well.

I’m a huge fan of Daring Fireball (likely my favourite blog) Kottke, and The Sizzle written by an Aussie journo. Some good info in all of these!

One newsletter that has stood the tests of time for me is Ted Gioia’s The Honest Broker. He is a remarkably keen observer of cultural trends, very widely read (deep on the classics), writes in a deceptively casual style. It’s the only Substack newsletter I pay for — but the free tier is very generous, worthwhile on its own.
