People have a lot of techniques for “being a better person”
Organized religions usually prescribe rituals or practices.
Psychotherapy (or counselling) fills that role for some.
If you’re a “let’s-invent-a-system” kind of person (I am) then you design a system yourself.
If software support is a metaphor that resonates with you, then Joan’s idea sounds like a good system.
The underlying goal should be a system that promotes reflection.
Reflection is the act of:
stepping back from your feelings
looking at them, contemplating them
expressing a constructive narrative around them
feeding that narrative back into your future behavior
